过流保护功能通过抑制发生错误时的功耗来防止损坏IC和负载。如果由于负载错误或短路导致输出电流超过限制电流(ILIM),则输出电压和输出电流也会相应降低,从而限制IC和负载的功耗。

使用此外部电阻,TCKE8系列的过流限制可设为0.5A~5A。

其具有可提高设计灵活性的优点,因为只需更改一个外部电阻即可任意设置过流限制。
