Place PTC thermistors at locations where heat can be localized and connect them to Thermoflagger™.
When Thermoflagger™ detects abnormal heating, the PTCGOOD pin is driven Low.
When the temperature of a PTC thermistor exceeds its critical temperature,
- Resistance of PTC thermistor increases dramatically.
- Voltage of PTCO pin increases dramatically
(= resistance of PTC thermistor x current of PTCO(constant))
- the voltage at the PTCO pin exceeds a detection threshold.
- the PTCGOOD pin is driven Low.
