eFuse IC(电子保险丝/熔断器)的短路保护工作原理是什么?

短路保护是一种保护功能,又称快速跳闸。
下面通过TCKE8系列的操作示例解释其工作原理。

当大电流(超过设定电流)瞬间流过MOSFET时,eFuse IC确定输出短路并在很短的时间内关闭MOSFET。关断后,MOSFET由eFuse IC内部设置的定时器自动导通。此时,如果后续IC或电路无异常,eFuse IC正常工作。但如果存在造成过流的因素,eFuse IC会执行过流保护操作。

在自动重试型过流保护中,输出电流受过流保护限制。当结温升高至热关断温度时输出关断;当结温降低时,输出再次导通以限制输出电流。
随后,恢复循环按以下循环重复,直至消除过流:
“运行停止→温度下降→过热保护解除→电流钳位→温升→过热保护→运行停止。”

锁存型过流保护在检测到过流时会关闭输出并使输出保持关断状态。将EN/UVLO信号降低至低电平,然后再次输入高电平信号,从而解除输出关断状态。
