Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation ("Toshiba") has launched three 100V MOSFETs for 48V power lines and six 60V MOSFETs for 24V power lines —nine products in total— as small MOSFETs for power lines in industrial equipment, expanding its lineup.
In recent years, power lines in industrial equipment have shifted from conventional 12V and 24V systems to 48V systems to reduce power consumption. On 48V lines, inrush current and surges can cause the voltage to exceed 60V to 80V, therefore 100V-rated MOSFETs are required. Additionally, as power supply voltages increase, higher efficiency, lower losses, and smaller sizes are also required. In response to these market trends, Toshiba has developed products for 48V lines as well as current mainstream 24V lines, thereby expanding its product lineup.
For 48V power lines, Toshiba offers three types of N-channel MOSFETs with a drain-source voltage of 100V and On-resistance of 198mΩ: "SSM3K387R," "SSM6K387R," and "SSM6K387NU."
For 24V power lines, Toshiba offers six types of N-channel MOSFETs: three with a drain-source voltage of 60V and an On-resistance of 99mΩ: "SSM3K388R," "SSM6K388R," and "SSM6K388NU," and three with a drain-source voltage of 60V and an On-resistance of 200mΩ: "SSM3K389R," "SSM6K389R," and "SSM6K389NU."
These new products are available in three package types: the highly versatile SOT-23F, the TSOP6F, which offers high power dissipation capability and excellent heat dissipation, and the space-saving UDFN6B (typical size: 2.0×2.0mm). Furthermore, all three types are small packages while maintaining low On-resistance, helping to reduce power consumption in equipment.
Toshiba will continue to develop products for a wide range of equipment and expand its lineup of MOSFET products that support high efficiency, low loss, and small size.
Toshiba has expanded its product lineup to include 60V devices suitable for 24V power supply lines and 100V devices suitable for 48V power supply lines.
