传统的矢量控制需要消耗大量的软件资源。如果矢量控制软件占用了嵌入式存储器的主要容量,因此软件资源不足会导致微控制器不能有效地工作。东芝在微控制器中引入了一个硬件IP,它能在没有CPU详细指令的情况下处理矢量控制中的复杂计算。硬件IP是矢量引擎。矢量引擎执行从3相到2相的转换、旋转坐标转换和那些反向转换,它们是矢量控制中的主要计算。在矢量控制中与矢量引擎配合使用将会大大提高微控制器的性能。
