In the age of AI latest state-of-the-art technology, the release of the Toshiba MG10 22TB Hard Drive has been a milestone, meeting the demand for storage with even higher capacities. In his ISC presentation 2024, Rainer Kaese will
- touch upon the history of HDD evolution, presenting some recent evaluations in the HDD laboratory,
- explain why HDDs are ready to satisfy the needs of large and fast online backend storage
- outline the technical and commercial driving forces for future developments
About the speaker
Rainer W. Kaese has been with Toshiba for 30 years. He initially specialized in application specific integrated circuits, managing the Design Centre for ASIC, and later the Business Development Team, as well as Foundry Products.
He is currently responsible for the introduction and qualification of Toshiba’s Enterprise HDD products into Datacentres, Cloud Computing and Enterprise applications.
