IEC 62368-1 Safety standard certification

IEC62368・UL2367 standard certification

IEC 62368-1 is an internationally accepted standard that specifies safety requirements for consumer and telecommunications equipment. Toshiba eFuse ICs have obtained certification for the latest standards. This feature simplifies the single-unit failure modes (Single-fault tests) of the rear-stage ICs and reduces maintenance costs by replacing conventional fuses.

One of  the Toshiba eFuse ICs benefit  is IEC 62368-1 certification. If the certification has been obtained, it is unnecessary to perform single-fault tests of subsequent ICs (PMIC and MCUs in the figure above). Therefore, it is possible to quickly and easily obtain certification of safety standards as equipment at the start-up of production.
